Field Notes: AeroWeave Jersey
Rather than refining around the edges, we went back to first principles: fabric behaviour, airflow, and how a jersey actually interacts with the rider at speed. What emerged is a purpose-built...
The defining feature of the Glide Bib is our Floating Chamois Technology. Traditional bibs secure the chamois around the entire perimeter. Using Elastic Interface foundations, the chamois is anchored at the front and rear, while remaining free through the sides. This allows the pad to stay in continuous contact with soft tissue, independent of the bib’s movement.

The Glide Bib has quickly become one of the most trusted pieces in our Pinnacle range. Not because it followed trends, but because it solved a very specific problem we’ve been working on for years: how a chamois behaves when your body moves, sweats, and fatigues at race intensity.
This is a race bib, through and through. Built for high-output riding where fit, compression, and contact points matter more than anything else.
At the core of the Glide Bib is MITI’s Shield Endurance fabric, a 240gsm warp-knit engineered for high compression and long-term shape retention. Warp-knit construction allows the fabric to expand and contract in sync with muscle movement, maintaining consistent support as the legs load and unload.
The result is a bib that feels locked in without feeling restrictive. Firm where it needs to be, forgiving where it matters.
The fabric composition leans heavily on polyester, which gives us two key advantages:
Exceptional durability under repeated wash and wear
The ability to introduce printed and dyed graphic treatments without compromising performance
Paired with a soft, low-profile elastic strap system, comfort through the shoulders stays consistent even deep into a race effort.
The defining feature of the Glide Bib is our Floating Chamois Technology.
Traditional bibs secure the chamois around the entire perimeter. That means as the bib moves, stretches, or becomes saturated with sweat, the chamois is forced to move with it. Over time, this can create separation from the body, leading to friction, pressure points, and abrasion.
The Glide Bib approaches this differently.
Using Elastic Interface foundations, the chamois is anchored at the front and rear, while remaining free through the sides. This allows the pad to stay in continuous contact with soft tissue, independent of the bib’s movement.
What this achieves in practice:
Reduced lateral drag on the chamois
Less movement away from contact points under fatigue
Significantly lower risk of abrasion and saddle sores during long, high-intensity rides
It’s subtle. You don’t see it. But you feel it — especially after hours in the saddle.
Beyond the chamois, the Glide Bib introduces thoughtful refinements throughout:
Zer0 Pressure finishing removes unnecessary compression at transition points
A contoured internal front panel improves coverage and positioning, particularly over long race durations
Soft elastic leg grippers provide reliable hold without cutting or irritation
Consistent grip architecture aligned with the rest of the Pinnacle range for familiar feel and reliability
Every decision here is about minimising distraction. Nothing pulls. Nothing shifts. Nothing asks for attention mid-ride.
The Glide Bib isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing less — less movement, less friction, less distraction.
Floating Chamois technology isn’t a gimmick. It’s the result of listening to athletes, understanding pressure mapping, and being honest about where traditional bibs fall short.
This is a system. And it’s only just getting started.
