Simply a reverse version of “The 6 Train”, this route covers the “middle loop” of Central Park’s three ground-level loop sections in a counter-clockwise direction. That means an uphill finish on Cat’s Paw Hill. Bring your feather!
While this route is about as “flat” as NYC routes can get, it’s still best described as a rolling, curvy course with essentially no flat sections. You may be busy powering up the punchy hills, but take the time to smell the hot dogs and enjoy the fall colours. You’re in New York, baby! If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere!
This course will be harder to control for the grades, and whichever grade is able to get organised the best and ride smooth will have a lot better chance in staying away. Expect to see some try their luck in grades C and D, whilst the A grade All-stars will have to give everything in order to catch.
ABOUT THE LAMBCHOP
Lambchop is a unique handicap format where everyone can get involved. The Chop' is a handicap race which means people are grouped by skill and staggered, with slower riders taking off first. This gives everyone in every grade a chance to be there racing at the finish. So get your racing strategy dialed and be precise with your PowerUps near the finish line. If you have no idea what that means, then just ride harder.
