THE GOLDEN AGE OF ATHLETICS
The Paris Games of 1924 were a stage for some of the most memorable athletic performances in history. Notable among these were the feats of Paavo Nurmi, the “Flying Finn,” who dominated distance running with five gold medals, and Harold Abrahams, whose triumph in the 100 meters was immortalized in the film “Chariots of Fire.” A true golden age of sports needs to be remembered with a collection that speaks with the same understated confidence that the men and women of that era performed with.
